Grace Institute for Ministry Leadership
Grace United Methodist Church has developed an exciting new program, the Grace Institute for Ministry Leadership, that we would like to invite all local church officers and leaders or future leaders to participate in. We will provide church officers and leaders with Biblically based developmental training in leadership skills. Join Bishop John Schol, special guest speaker Olu Brown, and fellow laity from throughout the Baltimore-Washington Conference for a day of fun and fellowship, Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Turf Valley Country Club, 2700 Turf Valley Road in Ellicott City. The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with worship in the morning, lunch, entertainment and Brown speaking at 1:45 p.m. Early bird registration is $38 from July 15-Sept. 10, and will increase each week of September. Late and walk-in registration is $53. Online registration is preferred but paper registration and payment by check will be available. * Meet other area young adults and share and learn tips for doing young adult ministry in your own church.
* Spend time growing and exploring your own faith in a relaxing atmosphere.
* Engage in worship, small groups, outdoor activities.
* Learn how to revitalize or begin a young adult group in your own congregation.
Through the Mud is this year's theme. There will be large group worship and break-out sessions on getting unstuck, building a disciplined life and singing a new song. Registration will open by July 1st. Cost is $85 including overnight and meals before Aug. 1 and $105 after. For Saturday only, the cost is $50. This event is for young adults ages 18-35.
