Service Times
Welcome Guests
Visiting a church can be like going on a blind-date--you hope for the best, but you just never know. We hope that this information will help to remove the unknowns for your first visit to St. Paul at Oxon Hill.
St. Paul at Oxon Hill is a loving and caring congregation who welcomes all. YOU are welcome because here there are no strangers. We embrace diversity and offer you community. Your presence means a lot to us and we want you to know that our doors are always open to be of service to you. Romans 15: 7 reminds us to, “Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
Parking
There is plenty of parking, but not all of it is directly around the church structure. Parking is allowed on the street and there is also a parking lot next to our community outreach center (TCRC). Look for the brick house next to the church and park in the lot on the other side of the house. Depending on the Sunday and service you attend, you may find greeters in the parking lot helping you to find parking and your way to the sanctuary.
Walking in
You'll be greeted warmly by some friendly people. These "greeters," as we call them, will give you a bulletin and direct you to the main sanctuary. If you have children, they are welcome to worship with you or go to our nursery.
Our Services
We have one worship service each Sunday at 8 and 10:30 AM. The nursery is available each Sunday for newborns to three years old.
Sunday School
Kingdom Kids for children ages 4-11 years old is held each Sunday at 10:30 AM. Classes are designed to help children discover their Christian heritage, become biblically literate and discover what it means to become a disciple of Jesus Christ through Bible stories, Bible drills, praise music, games, and other interactive and fun activities.
Impact Youth Ministry is a connection group for youth ages 12-18 that focuses on worship and learning the meaning of God's teaching for current living.
The adult Sunday School class meets at 9:30 AM.
For First-Time Guests
If you are are a first-time guest, we will ask you to stand or wave, but we don't ask you to introduce yourself. We don't want you to feel that you are being put on the spot; we just want to present you with a visitor's welcome kit. Following each worship service, we gather in the fellowship hall for refreshments and we invite you to join us for coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, chips, dips, cake, fruit...you can never tell.
